After completing this first module, how do you reflect on the Blended Learning experience? Please Note! This question does NOT refer to the content or the course tutor - only to the blended learning experience
#Response DatePlease state why
1. 2/5/2009 12:29:00 PMI have 1 1/2 hour to kalmar so I am happy for all time I can study at home. variation is good. I deside the time by myself.
2. 2/5/2009 12:29:00 PMI felt that I was forced to read and keep myself updated to be able to participate in the seminars, which also means that it was same for everyone, no one could slide through the course without doing anything.
3. 2/5/2009 12:31:00 PMBecause it was easy to learn and I liked the variety.
4. 2/5/2009 12:31:00 PMMy experience cannot possibly be separated from the delivery etc - I think a lot of things could have made my experience better, but if I am to grade the experience based on what it COULD have been, I'd say positive. The method as a whole makes sense.
5. 2/5/2009 12:34:00 PMThe combination is good and you can receive the new inputs in dirrent ways. Recorded lectures by internet have the advantage that you can choose when to listen to them.
6. 2/5/2009 12:34:00 PMI think I got the best out of the lessons. And the video tutorials was a good way to have a lesson. because I could rewind and listen to some parts again and stop the video if I needed to.
7. 2/5/2009 12:36:00 PMYou can plan most of your studies by yourself, if you want to study early in the morning or in the evening it's ok.
8. 2/5/2009 12:36:00 PMI like the bledning learninig ver much beacause you get a feeling that you get more time with the instructor. You can send questions that the whole class can read and the instructor can answer them. You have all the information about the course on Moodle and the most important, you LEARN a lot beacuse of more lectures and seminars.
9. 2/5/2009 12:37:00 PMLike i said in the question before it have been inspiring and there has not been any question on what to do because all the answers is presented in one way or another.
10. 2/5/2009 12:39:00 PMIt´s very good to try different ways of learning. I don´t either think that memorizing tests is the best way. unfortunately many teachers never vary their methodologies and just stick with one. I enjoyed the seminars and it was easy to be active. However at first I was little nervous but these feelings disappeared at the third seminarie.
11. 2/5/2009 12:39:00 PMi think that it has given us an oppertunity to learn in different ways, on our own terms and in the time we need.
12. 2/5/2009 12:40:00 PMI think it has been good to be able to watch the tutorials more than once. Or pick up a special topic that I've not understood from the beginning.
13. 2/5/2009 12:44:00 PMSometimes it was hard to find time to both listen to the video tutorials, read the book and attend the seminars. But it was still possible to be flexible and do parts of everything, and all parts felt meaningful.
14. 2/5/2009 12:45:00 PMI have found it positiv, the seminars has been meaningful for me.
15. 2/5/2009 12:47:00 PMlook at explaniation at question seven.
16. 2/5/2009 12:53:00 PMI think that I experienced a much higher quality of learning through this method through listening to the tutor speaking. Also it was easy to get an overview of what needs to be done and such.
17. 2/5/2009 1:02:00 PMI feel a high quality in learning.
18. 2/6/2009 8:13:00 AMIt is good because it is blended.
19. 2/6/2009 8:14:00 AMI personally prefer the old-fashioned way of studying, but I am not a opponent to it in any way.
20. 2/6/2009 8:15:00 AMSometimes it get to much. To many deadlines.
21. 2/6/2009 8:16:00 AMI like the way you can study through Moodle and then come in class and discuss it.
22. 2/6/2009 8:17:00 AMI think it's been very good. And I feel that I had better controll on stuff.
23. 2/6/2009 8:17:00 AMits new, and fresh, it suits me very well, and i feel that i learned a lot, you cant miss anything, the information is always there, and the contact with the teacher and other members is very good.
24. 2/6/2009 8:17:00 AMIn the beginning of these corse I Was very scared to this seminars, but know I like the seminars very much. You can hear what your frinds are thinking about in the same subject.
25. 2/6/2009 8:20:00 AMWhat I did learn from was the seminars and the study questions. I don't know if using moodle made it better.
26. 2/6/2009 8:20:00 AMIt's a good way to make learning and teaching more effective. Also I have the ability to study whenever I feel like it. Sometimes I felt that we had too many video tutorials to view and answer questions to though, this might have been the case with class room-based learning as well but when everything is uploaded to moodle it's easier that the work load can become overwelming.
27. 2/6/2009 8:21:00 AMFor me this way of learning is much better. I can do it in my own time, and therefor i understand better. I can go back and listen to the video lectures one more time if I want to, to get a clearer picture of whats been said. Then to discuss the topics in seminars, you will get other peoples thoughs and it makes you think about other sids on a topic.
28. 2/6/2009 8:21:00 AMI think it is a intresting way of using technology in learning, but I always a little worried about it being to dependent on technology. What happens if there is a long power failure or some othjer kind of system faliure during the course? Is the course put on hold or is there a plan B in place for such a situation.
29. 2/6/2009 8:22:00 AMIt's easy to use and you don't feel unsure about anything, because its all on MOODLE. But in the beginning I was'nt use to the experience and after a week I wished that I noticed MOODLE sooner. You do miss alot if you don't get a hang of it fast.
30. 2/6/2009 8:23:00 AMIt makes it easier to study if you have all the information and the lectures online, that means you can watch them when you want to and how many times you want to.
31. 2/6/2009 8:25:00 AMYou can check it when ever you have the time and se it as many times you need.
32. 2/6/2009 8:25:00 AMIt's fast and it's a good way of learning.Since we live in technology live that people conected to each other soem way. And that way I do learn lot of new technology for my study. And it's good for teacher too that they dotn haev to make lot of complecated work at the class.
33. 2/6/2009 8:28:00 AMI'm teaching a course myself right now at hik. We also try to blend traditional learning with online learning. We use online lectures (narrated) and online tests. Moreover all material relevant for the course, we publish on our learning platform and we have not given out any piece of paper. The next course I'll teach I will definately use this approach even more. One thing I learned here is that it is quite effective to post videos online for the students to watch, rather than gather all up and watch it in a classroom. In hindsight this is quite obvious, however most teachers (including myself) will out of old habit bring their videotapes to the classroom.
34. 2/6/2009 8:31:00 AMYou get all information in the same place and time, easy to find and talk to your classmates and teacher about something, ask questions
35. 2/6/2009 8:33:00 AMThe concept and idea works really well but I have personal issues and/or not used to take responsibility of completing tasks home.
