| 2/5/2009 12:29:00 PM | se question above |
2.
| 2/5/2009 12:29:00 PM | I'm sure that fun learning and an engaged teacher gives motivated students. Blended Learning is in fact fun learning! |
3.
| 2/5/2009 12:31:00 PM | Yes, because we live in an it-world today and we should use different ways (including the computer) more frequently so that we can satisfy all our students not just the minority.. |
4.
| 2/5/2009 12:31:00 PM | This question is leading me along to an answer. I think it IS effective, but do I think it is more effective than traditional class room-based learning? It really depends on what you do with the time. For university courses, doing it the way our lecturer did, is sort of "cheating" the time restraints by having no "real" lectures. I'm not saying this is good or bad, but compared to say a completely lecture based course in history, its just a matter of where your time alone is spent. During blended learning, time alone is spent watching lectures and time together is spent dealing with the material. During our example history course time together is spent watching lectures and time alone is used for dealing with the material. Is one better than the other? I wouldn't dare say. |
5.
| 2/5/2009 12:34:00 PM | For me it works well. |
6.
| 2/5/2009 12:36:00 PM | It depends very much on the student, what fit's best for s/he. Some maybe prefer class room based teaching and some don't. |
7.
| 2/5/2009 12:37:00 PM | In this way you can get to all students and make everyone intrested in different ways. |
8.
| 2/5/2009 12:39:00 PM | I´m against traditional ways of learning because it´s sometimes difficult to catch up what the teacher has said. This is more fun and learnable. |
9.
| 2/5/2009 12:39:00 PM | Yes, I do think that variety is very important and that is unusual in traditional classroom environments. |
10.
| 2/5/2009 12:40:00 PM | I think so. If you have a föreläsning you just have it once, and if you don´'t have your questions at that moment it is not good. Here I can listen more than once, and I can ask questions, both to other students in the course but also to the teacher. |
11.
| 2/5/2009 12:44:00 PM | As I said earlier, it´s very meningful to vary the types of teaching since the knowledge finds more ways to get in, and thereby a bigger chance of being adapted. |
12.
| 2/5/2009 12:45:00 PM | I believe that blended learning i an effective way of learning. Just because the time we spend with the teacher is more effective than it would have been in an traditional lecture. Here the students talk to the teacher and it's not just the teacher that talks to us. |
13.
| 2/5/2009 12:47:00 PM | You canreach pupils that for some reason not are able to attend school. even parents who may help their kids with homework can take a look and get a general understnding of what their children is supposed to do. |
14.
| 2/5/2009 12:53:00 PM | As I've stated before it is a good way of enhancing learning processes for what I think alot of different people. Those that feel more comfortable at studying at home and those that feel its more effective to learn through listen approach. |
15.
| 2/5/2009 1:02:00 PM | the variation of learningoptions is a good thing. |
16.
| 2/6/2009 8:14:00 AM | It's my belief that the results depends on the student. |
17.
| 2/6/2009 8:15:00 AM | Blende learning with seminars is a good way of learnign English. |
18.
| 2/6/2009 8:16:00 AM | This way the teacher can actually pay attention to explaining things or answer questions instead of lecturing from a book only. (Which a student can read on his-her own) |
19.
| 2/6/2009 8:17:00 AM | I think it's a very good thing. And more teachers should use it. I think more students would be better preparad for exams and other. |
20.
| 2/6/2009 8:17:00 AM | Because here you can take your time, go back and read/listen how much you want, you have very good contact with other members and teachers. its very good. |
21.
| 2/6/2009 8:17:00 AM | Discussions with other friends its the best part of learning I think. |
22.
| 2/6/2009 8:20:00 AM | When used as an extra tool it can be effective. Otherwise, the actual meeting face-to-face is much more effective as a way of learning. |
23.
| 2/6/2009 8:20:00 AM | It is more effective but sometimes the class room-based learning makes it easier to communicate and work on your speaking skills. |
24.
| 2/6/2009 8:21:00 AM | In a classroom, you olny have a tiome set up for you and that lecture, that means that the teacher must go true what he/she needs to, and somethimes they rush true the lecture and you walk out of the room thinking, what did I just hear. In blending you can listen to lectures in your own home, without any distractions. |
25.
| 2/6/2009 8:21:00 AM | I can't say I have learn more during this course than I have done during other courses I've read since this is my first time I experienced Blended learning. I think I can only make a fair evaluation after I had some more courses that uses Blended learning. |
26.
| 2/6/2009 8:22:00 AM | It requires more of a students motivation in this method, but I think its effective with the right students. Not everybody can study this way. They need another connection with the teacher, but it is also not many who are used to the subject of blended learning, and might be doubtful at first. But if it catches on (which I think it will) it will simplify teaching all over the world. |
27.
| 2/6/2009 8:23:00 AM | I think that you have to get used to the computerised world and this is a very good way to do it. |
28.
| 2/6/2009 8:25:00 AM | I think it's a good way to have it like this, and work more in seminars and workshops. |
29.
| 2/6/2009 8:25:00 AM | I do believe it is effective way of learning. The old tradition is good as well. but I think it's to much work for the teacher before they could go throw their material on the class. So I do think the blended learning is a good way of learning. |
30.
| 2/6/2009 8:28:00 AM | People learn best in diffrent ways, in different setting and at diffrent times of day. The more diverse ways a course is presented in, the more people will learn things efficiently. Sure, for those students who absolutley adore the traditional way of teaching, there might not be any benefits (they would comprehend the material anyway) but it certainly won't hurt them anyway. I think it is a win-win situation. |
31.
| 2/6/2009 8:31:00 AM | It´s a effective way, but I think its depends a little bit of what kind of subject you are talking about. I like and are used to more traditional, class room-based learning. And the background of study media and communication I think both ways can be good for learning. |
32.
| 2/6/2009 8:33:00 AM | I don't believe it is better then class room-based learning but it's very handy for those who wish to work certain hours on the day, having a job at the side or such. While it shows you the same information from a classroom it just isn't the same listening to someone talk live compared to a recording. On one hand you can review everything as much as you like but on the other hand you cannot get instant response on a question and relistening is awefully boring due to the lack of dynamics in the voice. The visual aid and topic pieces really helped to find the right place though, instead of having one big 30min segment. |
