1. To begin with, some reflections from your tutor. PLANNING OF THE MODULE The module is now almost over. Invariably, the module planning was 'top heavy'; that is, the pace was heavier in the beginning compared to the end. Based on my previous experience, this is usually always the case, simply because the start of an online course also means learning to use and to navigate the learning platform. After a while, things usually become easier for students. REAL TIME CONTACT & INDIVIDUAL FEEDBACK What is lacking in this module is real time contact online AND individual feedback. This too has been intentional as the hours that I receive for this course (planning, preparing, reading the forum, marking work, exams, tutorials, resist, admin) have been reduced drastically during my time at LnU. I receive 80 contact hours = 2 weeks full time work for your module which includes admin, planning, forum feedback, marking, resist, etc. I refuse to work for free or at the cost of my own health, hence you have received only two online seminars and very little individual feedback except in the general discussion forum. THE LEARNING PLATFORM Lnu will shortly upgrading the learning platform from Moodle 1.9 to 2.2, so that everybody will use the later version in VT2013. In order to facilitate this move for the university as a whole, I volunteered to run the course on my private Moodle site thus gaining experience and feed backing to the LnU IT section. Some of you experienced difficulty actually getting the information about how to get to the moodle site. For this, I apologise and hope that it was only a problem in the very beginning.
